Just a random post...

Lately I've just been enjoying the little things about being a mom: The morning routine, the silly songs we sing together, the daily walks downtown or to the park, and watching Finn and Selah grow and develop into real-life people right before my eyes! It used to be that if I was out of the room, and heard too much silence in the house, then someone was getting into something. But it seems like these days, they're each just playing pretty nicely on their own.

Finn likes to play in the garage and rediscover his old toys.

It's fun to see Selah actually "play" now, and not just shove everything in her mouth.

Finn seems to "like" Selah more and more these days. He even tried to help wash her hair the other day in the bath tub. (or maybe he just wanted to rub the soap in her eyes?)

After-bath time is one of Finn's favorite. Lately he has been entertaining the family with "funny naked runs" across the living room floor. It's pretty hilarious. I'll spare you the pictures though. It sort of gets lost in translation.

The other evening, we went out to one of our favorite places and played at the park and beach. We are trying to soak up every ounce of fun and beauty SB has to offer before it is time to move.

There's often no surf at Ledbetter Beach, but once in a while it's just perfect long-board surf. Too bad we didn't bring our boards. Bummer, dude.

I love the face Finn was making as he tried to make this seahorse (or whatever) go really really fast!

Oh The Places You'll Go...

Selah is 8 months old now, and for the past 2 months, she's been army-crawling her way into everything! She likes to stand all the time and is starting to pull herself up. She's got her first 2 teeth now too. She is so different than Finn was at this age. His first attempt to crawl was at 9 months and no teeth until almost a year old. Selah seems to be in more of a hurry to grow up and go places!
